Sweet and sour

Beef in sweet and sour sauce


Beef – 500 g
Bell pepper – 1 pc. large size
Onion – 1 piece
Garlic – 3 cloves
Canned pineapples – 200 g
Soy sauce – 1 tsp
Rice vinegar – 1 tsp
Vegetable oil for frying meat – 500 ml
Dried chili pepper pieces (optional) – 0.5 tsp

For batter:
Starch – 150 g
Water – 150 ml
Soda – 0.5 tsp
Pinch of salt
Sweet and sour sauce

To submit: Sesame Green onions

Cut the meat into medium-sized cubes. Transfer to a bowl and add soy sauce and rice vinegar. Mix. Set aside for now. Cut the onion into small cubes. Finely chop the garlic. Cut the bell pepper into medium-sized cubes. Also cut the canned pineapples into small pieces. For the batter, mix starch, soda, salt and water. Mix. The consistency of the batter will be quite dense and viscous, as it should be. Add it to the meat. Mix thoroughly so that every piece is coated in batter. Before frying the meat, I advise you to divide it into pieces so that it does not stick together. Fry the meat in a large quantity of well-heated vegetable oil, in small portions, so that the meat does not stick together. Fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Place the finished meat on a paper towel to absorb excess oil. Fry the garlic and onion in a small amount of oil, add chili pepper to them. Fry until golden brown. Add bell peppers and pineapples. Fry for another 5 minutes. Add meat, sweet and sour sauce. Mix. Fry for another 5-7 minutes. The dish is ready. When serving, sprinkle the dish with sesame seeds and green onions.
